After being away for the best part of three weeks, had an opportunity to do a small bit of local birding today.
Thanks to Don Stone, enjoyed excellent views of a pair of SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS in Little Missenden Churchyard and then with JT this afternoon, had LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER, breeding pair of MARSH TITS and baby TAWNY OWL at Commonwood, near Sarratt
A LITTLE OWL was in Chenies village whilst at Shardeloes Lake, breeding GREY WAGTAIL, 2 Gadwall, Great Crested Grebe, Cormorant, Nuthatch and 3 Swallows was noted; Canada Geese had 37 young.
