Invasion of the RING-NECKED PARAKEET in the area
29/10 15:00 : 25 Ring-necked Parakeet : Forty Green, Beaconsfield. This is the first time I've found this species on my patch and the number is a conservative estimate, as the birds were very mobie and some were in trees where they couldn't be seen. I spoke to the farmer on whose land they were he said he had counted 60. It seems there have been 3 for a month or two and the bulk of them arrived three days ago. They are feeding on crab apples.
