Paul Lewis and I enjoyed fabulous views of the first NORTHERN WHEATEAR in the area today in the paddock fields at Heronsgate. There were also huge numbers of Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock butterflies on the wing, the highest number I have ever seen at this time of year. Also Green Woodpecker, Ring-necked Parakeet, 4 Skylark, 1-2 Meadow Pipit, Nuthatch (pair), Linnet (2), Greenfinch and Jay (2)
