In Chalfont St Giles today, a flock of 16
COMMON CROSSBILLS flew in, calling loudly, circled around the church a couple of times trying to land in Yew trees and then flew off south-west (
Rob Andrews). This is the first record of this species in the area for a number of years but is part of a national invasion currently taking place right across the country.
